Shop Plastic Plates by Style

• Solid color plastic plates: our best sellers. Smooth, round, heavy-duty plastic plates in classic colors like white, black, red, navy, pink, purple and emerald green, plus neon assorted packs. Match them to your theme with our shop-by-color tableware.
• Clear plastic plates: transparent plates that let the food do the talking. A favorite for dessert tables, appetizers and cake.
• Elegant plastic plates: disposable plates with the look of real dinnerware. Choose gold plastic plates, silver plastic plates, classic china-look plates, scalloped, vine, leaf and weave designs for weddings, showers and holiday dinners.
• Round and square plastic plates: most of our plates are round, but you will also find square plastic plates and rectangle appetizer plates for a modern table.
• Plastic dinner plates: 10 and 10.25 inch plates built to hold a full meal without bending.

Which Plastic Plate Size Do You Need?

Plastic plates are sized by diameter. Use this quick guide when planning your table:

• 7 inch plastic plates are dessert and appetizer plates. Use them for cake, cupcakes, finger foods and snacks.
• 9 inch plastic plates are lunch and salad plates. They work for sandwiches, pizza, salads and lighter buffet meals.
• 10 inch plastic plates are dinner plates. Choose these for plated entrees, barbecue and any meal with several sides.

Most hosts buy two sizes: a dinner plate for the main meal and a 7 inch plate for dessert. Our combo packs pair a 7 inch and 10 inch plate in the same design so the whole table matches.

Plastic Plates in More Than 20 Colors

Solid color plastic plates are the easiest way to pull a party together. Pick one color to match your theme, or mix two or three. Popular pairings include white and gold for weddings and anniversaries, black and silver for graduations and New Year's Eve, red and white for Christmas and Fourth of July, and neon assorted packs for birthdays. Every color in this collection has matching plastic cups, napkins, cutlery and table covers so you can build a complete, coordinated tablescape.

Plastic Plates vs. Paper Plates

Plastic plates are more rigid than paper plates, so they hold heavier food, resist soaking through from sauces and dressings, and can be rinsed and reused for the next backyard get-together. They also keep their shape when guests load up at a buffet. Paper plates are lighter and usually the lower-cost choice for quick, casual meals. Many hosts use plastic plates for the main course and paper plates for cake, and we carry both in matching colors. Browse all disposable plates to compare side by side.

Buy Plastic Plates in Bulk

Most plastic plates in this collection come in 50-count packs, and many are also available by the case. Our Buy More and Save pricing drops the per-plate cost as you add packs, which makes Factory Direct Party a go-to source for caterers, schools, churches, event planners and anyone hosting a crowd. Qualifying resellers and large-volume buyers can apply for our wholesale pricing program for even deeper plastic plate wholesale pricing. Orders usually ship within one business day, and standard shipping is free on qualifying orders to the continental United States.

How Many Plastic Plates Do You Need?

Plan on about 1.5 dinner plates per guest for a buffet, since some guests go back for seconds, and one dessert plate per guest. For a seated, plated meal, one dinner plate per guest plus a 10 percent cushion is plenty. A 50-count pack of 10 inch plastic plates covers a party of 30 to 35 with room to spare.

Still deciding? Start with our elegant plastic plates for weddings and formal events, our solid color plastic plates for birthdays and holidays, or our clear plastic plates for dessert tables. Whatever you choose, you get the same factory-direct price and fast shipping on every plastic plate we sell.
